She is loyal to her family and caring—especially toward animals; as a child, she collected and looked after spiders, fed birds, and cared for her pony and later her mare. She is deeply empathetic—often sensing it immediately when people in a room hate one another—and consequently speaks up when something bothers her or simply becomes overwhelming. While she enjoys withdrawing, she is not a wallflower in the traditional sense; rather, she needs time to recharge, particularly after social interactions. She likes to show off her intellect and the extensive knowledge she has acquired—pursuits she prioritizes over the partying typical of her peers. She enjoys debating topics such as politics, society, and culture, frequently highlighting issues of social injustice. At work, she primarily takes direction from Vincent—as it is his business and his area of expertise—but she will point out any errors or flawed patterns she notices. She is also quick to intervene if she sees him about to make a mistake. Beyond this, she is a dedicated student who would never dream of harming the family or tarnishing its reputation. Her condition manifests as a lack of internal energy reserves and a lack of interest in casual small talk or superficial friendships. She also lives in a world of her own, reflected in a room decorated in shades of pink, purple, and black, and a strong passion for Sanrio, gaming, makeup, and books. The moment when a child enters a family it should be the most magical day of their life but for the Hale Clan it was just the birth of their spare. Which will soon turn into the pink loving whirlwind who turns their life around and shows them how different someones life can be. Celia
My name is Celia Marguerite Hale and I was born nearly twentytwo years ago into one of the most prominent families in chicago. After my birth I grew up in a most spacious mansion with my elder brother Vincent. The first two years of my upbringing I don`t really remember but if I did you would be the first I`d inform. So since there are no memories about this time I`ll jump right to my first ones. There was once an afternoon where I was roaming around the estate and I entered the library alone. My hands were almost to small to wrap them around the doorknob but my height was quite right for it. So I walked into it and was immediately amazed at the sight in front of me. But opening a door and trying to get a book from a table, which was almost as heavy as myself, was another topic. Then my brother, who was on it`s way to one of his hobbies, saved me from it as he saw me. I`ll never forget the words he has told me back then „Celia don`t get yourself in trouble!“ and then I started to take that seriously. NOT. In the following years of my early childhood I was a living contradiction. While others my age liked to be the life of the party I hid inside my cabinet or under the closest furniture I could find. My parents didn`t really know how to cope with this behavior and tried the best to encourage me to step more outside of my comfortzone but fortunately for me I had an older brother. He was the heir and took a lot of spotlight off of me. So I could bloom in silence and gain the knowledge I needed to survive as best as possible. But with the years going the school was approaching and so my parents took me to a specialist. After a whole week of assessments they got the answer they definitely didn`t want to hear. The moment I heard this word I got hooked on medical terms and even pulled one of the doctor`s books out of his collection just to read it. Because I wanted to learn more about myself and to understand how I can manage myself better. The doctor gave my family the advice that I should visit a therapist once a week for all kind of topics. I made a lot of mistakes back then, when the feelings of others overwhelmed me or the social contacts where to much I simply just ran away. I needed my space and a coping mechanism. With my therapist I worked a whole schedule out and stood by it until I was ready for a educational environment. Some might say it would be a somewhat sociological clicheè to send me to a high profile academy to expand my knowledge but that was the case. Because I was so deep into studying everything I wanted to know that my family decided it was the right thing to do. Also my therapist was eager to research my mind further and if it would withstand the pressure of this elite school in chicago. The first day there was scary,…I was so anxious that I pulled my soft plush toy against my chest. (It was Albie by the way but not the Mouse just an exact replica of my pony Einstein). After the first try out days I felt incredible there. I bloomed in a way which neurotypical children don`t experience at all. They treated me not like a freak but more like the person I was on the inside. Instead of forcing me to play on a recess playground I was able to read, collect spiders (since I was afraid of every insect with thorns and I`ve read that spiders ate them in their nets I immediately became their best friend), discussed matters of the curriculum with my peers or teachers. I got so proud of myself and understood the strenght of the Hale name too that my anxiety lessened in social situations. I entered mature chit-chat back then and tried to use my knowledge against grown-ups. With every little victory in a debate I flowered and a bright smile appeared on my face. Also it was the time when I found a deep connection with my older brother. Vincent and I were the almost opposite. He wasn`t keen on my spider collection, my growing interest in pink or Hello Kitty or books or technological systems but we liked to talk with each other. And that we did. The whole summer, winter and spring-breaks we used them to explore the topics of the world. Since his curriculum was much further than mine he was able to teach me and I brought alternative point of views to the table. My therapy became a once a month thing as I entered this phase of my life but now I knew how to cope without running away. Then I outgrew my pony Einstein and so I got my black horse called Boreas. Looking back I`m not proud of this decision since he`s not keen on it and tends to love my nickname for him: Maru, more. I was always for animals and got two bunnies at home, even though taking care of them is something our staff does because to much responsibility isn`t good for me. My other interests besides discussing topics of the daily world news, tending to my pets, reading and writing was playing/coding on my computer. At my private school it was encouraged to work with a notebook and I found a way of communicating with the world but also a steady source of informations from all over the globe. I became like a own little wikipedia myself and entertained my fathers business partners every time they visited our estate or my brother. I didn`t need to play but I found other ways to be myself.
When I turned fourteen my world changed as I entered womanhood. I got anxious again and my previous coping mechanisms didn`t help at all. The hormones made me so disheveled that I cried, had meltdowns and even ran away again. I ran from the manor into the city, directly to the office of my psychiatrist, which I only saw twice a year now. He instantly called my parents and helped me with a little drug to calm down. Now the meltdowns got more serious and I even tried to hurt myself. Until Vincent encouraged me to try out gaming. At first I thought he was joking, since I was a pretty serious person but after a while I fell down this new rabbit hole. My parents bought me the newest systems and a whole lot of games. So after my studies I entered different worlds until I found some weaknesses in some of them. That was the moment I tried coding for the first time. With the help of the internet and a lot of fellow computer nerds in some groups I taught myself some small software engineering. And now I knew what I wanted to do in my life. Besides that and learning about historic codes and scripts. So therefor as I passed all my exams almost two years early I got into the University of Chicago. I celebrated this event with a pizza party with vincent and a lot of games and ice cream. My parents where so proud of me but there was the sensitive topic of living arrangements. The campus was not really close so I needed a dorm. Since I wasn`t really interested in joining a sorority there I got a appartment on campus but would officially reside at home. As I moved into the luxurious suite with all a girl could dream off I met Eli. He was the sophomore who was entitled to show the new students around. I was seventeen back then and he was twentyone. I never showed interest in love or anything like that besides in my books but he was quite different. Later I found out why. He was the pain in the ass because he turned into my academic rival but also the leader of the debate society at campus. Which I joined. I study since then history and software engineering full time which I`ll both graduate next year. Eli is now my best friend and we hang around casually. Especially since his horse is standing next to mine. Oh and did I mention that his father is associated with mine? They are colleages in the finance sector and battle each other like we do. Since my courses grew smaller over the years but more special,…I started to work at my fathers and now also brothers, since Vincent joined the company, firm as an intern. I`m my own special little niche,…the information sector and analyst. My collection of games, sanrio, make-up (lipgloss), books and other things is constantly growing and I`m very proud to be the way I am. Because being normal is to boring anyway! Sometimes I still have major problems when I become depressed or suffer from a meltdown or shutdown. But then after a few days or weeks (it depends) I`m able to recover and be just Cel again.
